GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL

Hello my loyal viewers!

I hope you all have been well, albeit mourning my absence :3

I have been really busy and had a lot of family stuff going on (as stated in my previous post) but I figured the least I could do for you (few) is express a few thoughts, since that's what this blog is made of. Thoughts.

Mkay, first off... I despise Blackboard.com with a great amount of disdain (was I just redundant?) Here is why... It was a few weeks ago, Miss Watt's IC class, and we had a vocab test that I had forgotten about (gasp). So, I go "But I don't even know the words!", she replies, "they were on blackboard". Now, here are my qualms with that... 1. I get that High School is supposed to be about "maturing" and becoming "responsible" (boooooo), but would it be that hard to print off a list of words for students such as I to study? It's not like I have a bad vocabulary, but I hardly think posting a worksheet on a website constitutes as teaching, so when I don't even know the words that I'm placing in the appropriate sentence mean, I'm not likely to do well. So, down with Blackboard, bring back good ol' fashion, paper-handing-out. Hell, I'll pass 'em out for ya if it means not getting a 3/15 (ahem) on my Vocab Test.

Secondly, I went to the Spider-Man 3 midnight opening Thursday night... I must say, I give it a 10/10, and say it's better than the other two combined. If you ask the rest of the student body though, most will disagree. With taking in as much as I could of their opinions, I have deducted (in my own opinion) that these are why their views may shed a negative light on the first (and best) Block-buster to be released this summer (or will be released). 1. I believe parts are being taken seriously that aren't meant to be taken seriously... the comedic parts are to give superhero movies human characteristics, something a viewer can relate with, and more importantly, to relieve drama which may have been going on the movie prior, or at most to give the movie balance, which brings me to my 2nd point. 2. I'm hearing a lot of people expressing disgust at the amount of drama, what I would tell those people is this: The movie is based around a comic book, and if you cared enough to crack open a Spider-Man (or any Marvel comic) for that matter, you would find that drama plays a huge part in each comic book, and there is much more drama than there is action... this drama also adds human emotion and helps to develop pity, or anger, towards the characters that are developing (in this case: Peter Parker and Harry Osborn), so if you want to see mindless punching and kicking... go to a Bruce Lee movie or something. Those are the only two points I can think of right now, but I'm sure more will come to me. I just don't want to see my beloved Spider-Man fall into the clutches of "pop-culture letdowns" due to absent minded teens (no offense to any of you, I imply nothing) If you wish to have a reasonable conversation with me as to why you didn't like the film, without just saying "THE MOVIE SUCKED HE WAS EMO, THERE WAS NO GOOD PARTS", then I'd be more than happy. Nothing like a good comic-book movie conversation to get the blood flowing.

Hrm, I should also comment on... nevermind I talked about the grading system already.

Loves me some Pokemon

Also, if you've ever heard someone say that videogames tear people apart I say take Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games, put it in your pipe, and smoke it.

Rivals, united by one thing... OLYMPICS!!!

I'll end this post with a simple statement:

Here's to you Tony Stark, may you and your Mark III suit set new standards for comic-book film adaptations everywhere!
