Screw usbank

Dear Ryan Maxwell,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your U.S. Bank account. I am sorry to hear of your recent difficulty with your account and
of the financial burden these fees have caused. However, as part of the customer agreement when signing for this account, it
is agreed that you will keep sufficient funds in the account to cover any outstanding items. If this is not done, fees will be charged
accordingly.

The best way to avoid situations such as this is to keep a register of all items processing through your account. We provide you
with several tools to assist you in maintaining your account register, including Internet Banking, and 24 Hour Telephone Banking.
What we are unable to provide you with are the amounts of checks or other withdrawals that remain outstanding on your account.
It is your responsibility to record each transaction you make in order to know your exact available balance at all times.

When we receive an electronic notice that a Check Card (non-PIN) transaction has been authorized against your
account, we will place a hold your account for that amount. Some merchants (i.e. hotels, gas stations, car rental agencies)
estimate the anticipated purchase for authorization. As a result, the amount held against your account may be less or
greater than the final transaction amount presented. Your available account balance will be reduced by the amount
held for all pending Check Card (non-PIN) purchases from the time we receive the notice until the item is presented or
three business days, whichever occurs first. During that time, sufficient funds may not be available to pay checks or other
electronic transactions and you may be subject to an overdraft fee or insufficient funds fee.

Overdraft fees are posted to an account the day after the bank has paid item(s) which brought the Available balance to
a negative position. A deposit made on the day the fees are assessed will not stop them from posting.

The following summarizes your Available balance at the time the check card purchase in the amount of $14.62 cleared on 08/27.
There may have been unavailable funds consisting of deposited funds not yet available for withdrawal, outstanding check
card authorizations or funds held to cover withdrawals/PIN based purchases made after business hours:

Account Balance: $5.33

Check Card Authorizations: $6.39

Available balance -$1.06

Here is list if the outstanding check card authorizations that were being held against your available balance:

Upon review of the account, I have verified that the web transfer was not made until 08/29. Please be advised that making
or receiving a deposit after the negative balance has occurred will not stop the fees from being assessed.

As part of your account agreement, you agreed that if you authorize any transactions (through any means available to you)
that result in a negative available balance, that you will pay any overdraft fees we impose. My review of your account
shows that no bank error occurred that resulted in the overdraft fees you were charged. Because the fees we have charged
are valid, we will not be refunding any of them back to your account at this time. Once again, I do apologize for any misunderstanding.

To avoid future overdraft charges, please make sure that your deposited funds are available prior to authorizing payments
from the account and that your available balance is sufficient to cover your outstanding check card authorizations as well
as other payments you authorize from the account.

Please let us know if there is anything additional that we can assist you with.

Sincerely,

Jessica Crawford
